Get Paid to Learn a Trade — And Get Paid to Sell.
Rooftop Chimney Sweeps is growing our Northern Virginia team, and we're looking for people who are great with customers, comfortable working with their hands, and hungry for an income that actually reflects how hard they work.
No chimney experience required. We'll train you from day one.
And this isn't a commission-only sales grind. You earn for the service work you personally perform, plus commission on the solutions you recommend. Two income streams, one job.
How You Get Paid
20% of the service work you perform
9% commission on repair and improvement sales (after materials)
A full schedule of service work alone can generate $50,000+ a year. Before commission.
Strong performers earn $90,000–$180,000+ annually
We provide the appointments. You determine how far you take your income.

What You'll Do
You'll show up to homes where the appointment is already booked. Homeowners are expecting you. We'll train you to:
Inspect chimneys, fireplaces, and venting systems
Perform chimney and fireplace maintenance
Spot safety concerns and needed repairs
Explain what you find clearly, honestly, and without pressure
Recommend solutions based on what the homeowner actually needs
Help homeowners make confident, informed decisions about their homes
Complete maintenance and smaller repairs on the spot
This is hands-on, customer-facing work. No two days look the same, and every job you complete has a direct line to your paycheck.
No Chimney Experience? No Problem.
We can teach you chimneys. What we can't teach is work ethic and a way with people. That part's on you.
You might be a great fit if you have experience in:
HVAC
Roofing
Pest control
Home improvement
Restoration
Automotive sales or service
In-home sales
Field service
Customer service
Construction or other skilled trades
No experience in any of those? If you're coachable, comfortable talking to customers, and not afraid of hands-on work, we still want to hear from you.
What You Need
Valid driver's license and an insurable driving record
Comfortable climbing ladders and working on roofs
Comfortable working directly with homeowners, in their homes
Strong communication skills
Reliable and coachable
Motivated by performance-based pay
Willing to learn both the technical and sales sides of the job
