About this role
Greenport Construction is hiring a Design and Pre-Construction Consultant in San Rafael, CA, paying $42 to $55 per hour. We need someone with sales experience in home services or a similar field like real estate, who is comfortable going into clients' homes to run appointments across the Bay Area. You will guide custom remodel and home-build projects from the first client meeting through design and into pre-construction.
Who You Are:
You take pride in turning a client's rough idea into a design they can picture living in.
You are a strong communicator who keeps clients informed and makes them feel heard.
You love owning a project from first sketch to final detail and documenting everything along the way.
You bring sales experience in home services or a similar field such as real estate.
You bring a valid driver's license and reliable transportation, and you are comfortable traveling around the Bay Area for in-home appointments.
Who We Are:
We build custom remodels, kitchens, and millwork for homeowners across the Bay Area, from Marin and Sonoma to San Francisco.
We take on mid to high-end residential and light commercial projects.
We document everything and overcommunicate so projects stay on track.
What You Will Do Each Day:
Meet with clients to learn their goals, style, and budget.
Develop design concepts with mood boards, sketches, and renderings.
Present proposals and refine them based on client feedback.
Select materials and finishes, and produce floor plans, elevations, and specs in CAD software.
Work with estimators and project managers to keep designs buildable and on budget.
