About this role
SSA Group is hiring a Catering Associate at the San Francisco Zoo in San Francisco, CA. Pay is $22 an hour, and the schedule includes nights, weekends, and holidays as events require. You will set up, serve, and break down catered events across 100 acres of gardens on the Pacific Coast.
Who You Are:
You are a warm communicator who keeps guests and teammates feeling cared for under pressure.
You think fast and solve problems when plans change without notice.
You take pride in a clean, organized workspace, ready for the next event.
You bring the stamina to stand for long stretches, lift up to 35 pounds, and operate catering equipment. Catering experience is a plus, and all education backgrounds are welcome.

SSA Group runs dining, retail, and admissions at San Francisco Zoo and Gardens, home to more than 1,500 exotic, endangered, and rescued animals.
The zoo is open 365 days a year, working to connect people with wildlife and advance conservation.
SSA has partnered with cultural attractions for more than 50 years, focused on the guest experience.
What You Will Do Each Day:
Set up, run, and break down catering events, including tables, chairs, and rental equipment.
Serve guests quickly, share menu knowledge, and resolve concerns on the spot.
Track product levels and inventory, and keep storage organized.
Handle back of house, front of house, and side work, and update your supervisor on issues.
