About this role
SSA Group is hiring a Part-Time Prep Cook at Snook Haven in Venice, FL, paying $15.50 to $16.50 an hour. The role wants previous kitchen experience or equivalent training and the manual dexterity to handle knives and prep equipment safely, plus the flexibility to work nights, weekends and holidays. You will prep ingredients for the kitchen and help keep the whole station clean and organized.
Who You Are:
You are detail oriented, the kind of prep cook who never lets a station run short mid-shift.
You take pride in ingredients washed, chopped and portioned exactly to spec, with the manual dexterity to handle knives and prep equipment safely.
You are a team player with good communication skills who knows the kitchen's health and safety rules and stays patient under pressure.
You bring previous kitchen experience, culinary training or equivalent, plus a food handler license or the willingness to obtain one.
You bring the flexibility to work nights, weekends and holidays as the schedule calls for.

What You Will Do Each Day:
Wash, chop, season and marinate ingredients for the kitchen.
Assist with inventory management and proper storage of supplies.
Wash dishes, sanitize surfaces and keep the kitchen organized.
Follow nutrition and sanitation guidelines on every task.
Support other kitchen duties as the shift needs it.
